Men March Against Abuse
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings announced the launch of “Men Against Abuse,” an advocacy campaign to put an end to domestic violence in our community. The primary audience and messaging for this campaign are the men of Dallas. A downtown rally is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. at City Hall Plaza, during which men will be encouraged to unite in the effort to stop abuse. Read more here.
The Marcella Project hosted a Gender Justice Film Festival at the Inwood Theater this past week. Men and women attended. One man informed the audience of the Men’s march against abuse. Then he challenged us to consider having a men march against the sex industry. Real men don’t go to strip bars, hire prostitutes or sell girls into sex trafficking. Will the real men please stand up? March for change in how we view women-and men.
